V-Day is here again: Vagina Monologues 2013

VDAY 2013

Oxford Feminist Network presents The Vagina Monologues back for a third glorious year.  Eve Ensler's classic play will be performed by a new community cast on three dates (6th March at the Cowley Women's Group; 7th March at Ruskin College Oxford, Headington and 9th March at Mansfield College).  As always the profits are donated to charities combating violence against women and girls locally and worldwide and is part of the One Billion Rising movement which swept the globe earlier this month.

Cast member this year, Heather McConnell said "It feels great to be part of such an international movement to not only raise money for charities that help women who have experienced violence, but also to get women talking about their bodies in a way that isn't embarrassed or unsure. Too many women see their bodies as shameful things, and the Vagina Monologues helps to celebrate women, their bodies, and, of course, their vaginas!"

Tickets for the Ruskin College and Mansfield College performances are available from www.eventbrite.co.uk and for the Cowley Women's Group from their website.
