Are you ready to Reclaim the Night? On Saturday we went to Cornmarket in Oxford to get the word out about the march and International Women's Day celebrations coming up on Friday, and the Listen Up! campaign. The lovely Lush people helped us set up a stall in front of the shop, Gina & Bethany from Sol Samba joined our own Kirsty to get the Saturday shoppers listening, and we collected responses from passers by to the question: "What makes you feel heard?" Oxford commuters were greeted at rush hour on International Women's Day today with a banner hung from the railway bridge at Frideswide Square reading: “Listen Up! End Violence Against Women”. Thanks to Hugh Warwick for the picture.

The banner is in support of the Oxfordshire Reclaim the Night campaign: Listen Up! Let's create safe spaces for women to be heard.

OSARCC needs volunteers!

OSARCC is now recruiting volunteers.

We are currently looking for new volunteers to staff our telephone and email helplines. Full training will be provided and we look for women who are sympathetic to our principles and who are team players. We require volunteers to have a good level of English and they must be able to be involved for a minimum of 18 months. Training commences in April 2013 and runs over a series of evenings and weekends.
